Lipstick and Lipgloss

Lipstick is a pigmentation, usually mixed with waxes or oils, applied to the lips for cosmetic reasons. Although in modern times it is traditionally worn by women, some men also use lipstick for a variety of reasons. This is very common in entertainment professions.

What color lipstick did silent movie stars wear?

User Avatar
I know it looks really dark in black and white, like they're wearing the most goth shade of blackish purple, but that's just movie magic. The earliest silent movies were made with a type of film that was sensitive to blue, meaning it showed up very lightly and reds showed up very darkly. The actual lipstick color depended on the actress and the scene, but it was mostly shades of red applied very lightly—and as mentioned, it was still dark on-screen.

What hormones does a man need to grow female breasts?

User Avatar
First, be very sure this is something you will still want several years along in your life, because once you have grown your own, you will be living with them permanently unless you have them surgically removed. Second, if you can possibly do so, stay away from either surgical enhancement (very costly and often not very successful appearance-wise), or from actual female hormones unless you are trying to transition (hormones can reduce or nullify the male sexual capability, sometimes permanently). Third, investigate the breast-growth herbal supplements. Many males have been very successful at breast growth using these supplements. I won't shill for any particular brand or variant, because how a particular mixture works is very dependent upon the individual body, and in some cases the body won't respond at all to these botanical's and herbs. They do not seem to affect sexual ability noticeably. Forth, be aware that none of these methods (other than surgical) are not going to give you instant results. A biological female may require several years to achieve her ultimate size starting at puberty. The process of growing man-breasts uses the same physiological processes, and also requires time. Patience, very definitely, is a virtue with this process. I'm a biological male, nearly 70 years old. After a heart problem a few years ago, my breasts started very slowly increasing in size. No particular reason is evident in my blood workups or thrice-yearly physical exams, and I don't seem to have any hormone imbalances that would be traceable to problems with any glands. My nipples started to chafe on my shirt fronts and I began wearing a bra to avoid that chafing. About a year ago, I decided that if I was going to have the things, I was going to have something big enough to be able to buy a proper bra over the counter rather than from costly specialty houses. I started taking an herbal/botanical supplement to speed up the process. I now fill a 42-A cup, bordering on a small B, and have decided to continue the process. I have also been using an herbal creme on one breast because it is smaller than the other, a common problem with both males and females. The smaller one is growing somewhat more than the larger at this point, which makes me very happy. Cremes and liquids have had the best results for me. The liquid is ingested orally, and the creme is rubbed onto the breasts and is absorbed through the skin. Pills also work, but they are a bit slower. You can also supplement the growth mixtures with a product such as Estrogen to boost the effects. A few vendors offer a soap that contains the supplements, which you use a few minutes before stepping into the shower. Whatever you do, keep in close touch with your medical professional and rigorously follow package directions of the supplements. Too rapid of growth is not wise, because it can cause stretch marks and considerable pain (ask any woman who had too fast breast growth at puberty). Keep in mind that those things don't support themselves if they are large, and you should be wearing support (a bra) for as long as you have them.

How do you keep lipgloss shiny all day?

User Avatar
Answer: Bring the lip gloss with you, just in case or you can put Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on and then put the lip gloss over it. Another answer: Put on the lip gloss and bring it with you. Immediately after you put on the gloss, put on EOS lip balm and lightly smear it over the lip gloss. Blend it in and apply the EOS every 45 minutes or so. Also, don't touch your lips if you can avoid it. If you eat or drink, the shine will come off!

How can you get lip gloss stain out of carpet?

User Avatar
I recently got colored lipgloss on my carpet and tried everything to get it out. I tried Resolve Carpet Cleaner, nail polish remover, eye and lip makeup remover, and vinegar. Nothing worked, until I read on the internet to use toothpaste, specifically Colgate. I didn't have Colgate so used Crest and it WORKED!!! I put some toothpaste on a brush and scrubbed into the stain. Instantly, the stain disappeared. I also used hot water to rinse with to make sure the stain really was gone. Presto, no more stain! I just used it on a beige carpet with bright pink lip gloss about 3 hours after the stain was put there by my four year old daughter. Truly worked a miracle. It isn't there anymore.

What brand and color of lipstick and lip gloss are most commonly used by teenagers?

User Avatar
For teenagers, it is best not to use lipstick as your lips are still young and you don't really need it. It's best to stick to just lip gloss for a soft colour and shine. If you want to wear lipstick, avoid dark colours. Many teenagers use the colour peach or just a light soft pink colour. Since most teenagers are just starting out with makeup, it is best to just experiment with drugstore makeup brands rather than spending heaps of money on high end makeup. Brands such as Covergirl, Maybelline, Remiel London and Revelon are great quality makeup sold at reasonable prices. shiny lip glosses and lip balms are nice and natural and popular. i really do not like dark lip sticks. A gorgeous lip colour for teans called "Lady Danger" by Mac. Not too obvious but still really great for all skin tones. A lot of teenagers like to put a skin coloured lipstick on their lips -- this washes out your face and makes your lips dry. Go for a medium tone unless you are very confident.

Any of the two-part lipsticks - first tube color and second tube gloss. They last extremely long, but long-time use will dry your lips. Almost all manufacturers make 2-part lipsticks from Chanel (at department stores)to Maybelline (available at local drug stores).
